Cake Pops - Take two

I learned a lot the first time I made cake pops and thought I would never do this again and then my friend (maybe) had to one-up me and make the cutest cake pops ever. It was a little baseball player and it was adorable. She acted like it was no big deal and I was a little jealous. I wanted to be the best cake pops maker in the valley. Sorry Cori, but I might have a little competitive streak in me. Cori's mom summed it all up so perfectly that it put me at ease. She said it was good to have a little competition because it makes us get better at the things we like to do. She was so right so I decided to try again. Plus, Trey's begged me to make his class cake pops for his birthday.
In case you can't tell these are baseball cake pops. I learned even more this time around. The cake pops need to be smaller then I make them. I keep thinking that they are so good that a small cake pop just isn't enough we need big cake pops. Well, this isn't the best idea. I also know the melt away candies work the best because you don't have to tap your wrist all you have to do is spin in a circle and use a spoon to catch the drips, you need Styrofoam to put them in, they work best if you put the sticks in them and then freeze them, and lastly you need more time then I allow and it needs to be done at a decent time of day instead of 1am. I hope Trey's class likes them.

Those are very cute! Almost as cute as baseball players with hats on. I don't know that I'll be making cake pops again anytime soon, so you can say you make the cutest cake pops in the valley if you want. (If it makes you feel better). Trey looked very pleased walking into school with you and the pops this morning. He is lucky he has such a great mom.

Wow- way to go. Both you and Cori can bring cake pops to any event I will be attending. They don't even need to be cute. Just tasty.

None of you "super mom's" have convinced me into being in the cake pop club! Besides, in my own head I'm already the best in the valley. That's all that matters, right?

I'm with you on that one Dany. I have no desire to join the best cake pop club. Though they were cute and tasted so yummy! I'm just glad I have great friends who give me an extra when they have one!

I was intrigued after your first entry on the cake pops. I am thinking I need to try it. I don't want to make them small though. So much work for just a bite of cake. Hmmm.....
