We were very excited because YMCA brought basketball up to the valley. Trey was even more excited because he loves playing basketball.
He was even more excited to find out that his dad would be his coach and that his best friend Spencer was on his team. He also had another good friend Noah on the team too.
Their team name was the “Lakers.” Trey’s team was one of the smaller teams but they really held their own.
Trey was a very good shooter and made many baskets. He had a few fast breaks and made the shot. It was a very successful year and we are looking forward to play again next year.
Zachary didn’t play this year at first because his close friend weren’t playing. When we were talking to our good friends the Tito’s they were very discouraged with their daughters, Taylor’s team. Derrick told Zach he would pay him $5 a game if he would come and join her team. I guess money was a huge incentive for him because Zach decided to play.
His team consisted of 5 girls and 3 boys which had little experience of playing basketball. He enjoyed it for the most part but was very excited to have the season end. He hasn’t decided if he is going to play next year or not.
