Tayah was all into catching a Leprechaun this year so she decided to make a Leprechaun trap.
Of course, she was reminded of this idea from her good friend Ali. They both had to build one for kindergarten and apparently haven’t forgotten about it. While we were ALL sleeping Mr. Leprechaun came to visit.
He walked in from the back door and scooped out the “Gold” in the trap. Tayah thinks he was caught but turned into a bunny and was able to hop right out of the box. We found out that he got revenge before he made his way back home.
Mr. Leprechaun made his way to the refrigerator and sabotaged our liquids.
He turned our milk and our OJ Green.
Since we had green milk we also had green crepes. The kids loved it and they were excited to eat and drink green things. They said the taste was a little different but mostly the same.
Tayah was so excited when she woke up and saw that a Leprechaun had come to the house. She wondered if they only come to the houses that put out gold? She wondered why the footprints were there and not outside. Zach and I gave her many reasons; to cold outside to leave footprints, he took his shoes off when he came inside so he could be quieter and because it’s warm inside the house the green from his skin wears off onto what ever he touches. She also thought it was paint. Zach said no it’s just like if you spill something it leaves a filmy spot. She seemed to be ok with all of this.
If Mr. Leprechaun, the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy and Santa Claus can all get into our house without us knowing, why can’t the really bad guys? I am waiting for one of my kids to figure this out. Maybe they will all really figure it out before that time. Happy St Patrick’s Day!!
