It’s time to take a time out from the WII when….
A) You get so mad you kick the couch?
B) You yell and scream because you are mad and hurt?
C) Your foot is swollen because of kicking the couch?
D) All of the above?
Zach had a run in with the couch during the intense final inning of the WII game and the couch won! Zach thought it would help him feel better by taking his aggressions out on the couch. It probably would have worked if he kicked the soft part and not the hard bottom of the couch. He yelled and hopped over the house in pain. He later, not thinking about it jumped into the hot tub, which only intensified the swelling. Later that night he couldn’t walk on it at all. It hurt both the top and bottom of the foot. He was nervous he broke it and was all stressed about sports. Oh, to be a kid and have that be your only stress, I Wish! After two days of watching him hop around and complain and stress about it we took him to the doctor. He got an x-ray and everything looked good. Dr. Holly Spoon-Gross said it was just a bad bone bruise. I didn’t even know that bones could do that. After the visit with Dr. Gross it seemed like his foot was feeling 100x better. He was almost running on it. He did ask me the day before if it was bad to walk on his foot if it was broken. I guess now that he knows his foot is ok it has increased his pain tolerance.
Maybe next time we will have to take a time out before the poor couch beats up on Zach!
