Trey- Came home from school and asked me this "is touching tounges kissing?" I asked him where he heard that and he said he saw two girls touch tounges at lunch. He said that he KNOWS they are best friends and that is why they tounge kissed. After school on Monday Trey said with a huge smile "Girls chased me today and it was ok because I like to run." I guess all this time of telling me girls aka:Ducks, are going to chase him they finally did. Tuesday, I got a call from the school because he got elbowed in the nose and it was bleeding. I went up to the school to console him and he was talking to the Dean just crying and trying to explain. Mr. Hanes saw me and told me to come into his office. I went in and we talked and I put Trey on my lap and he just cried and said he wanted to come home. We talked about what he could do next time and that maybe he shouldn't try and take on the 3rd graders. After the Secretary Jennifer, gave him a doughnut he decided that he was ok and stayed at school. Trey got an award this week for.....

Tayah- My neighbor and Tayah have a deal that if Kenny says yes to the neighbors puppy then the neighbor will by all the treats. The little puppy keeps coming over to our house through a loose board on the fence. The kids love it and are trying to play with it when it comes to the yard. She asks everyday and almost in a pitifully voice reminds her dad that she has asked for one for the past 2 years and has been very patient. Tayah got an award this week for "TRUSTWORTHY". Her teacher Mrs. Alten had some really great comments about Tayah. I know Tayah struggles with this and I hope that she understands that being Trustworthy is a great attribute to have. I am very proud that she got this award and that she shares this attribute with her teachers.

Zach- Tried a dogie treat and decided that it wasn't good and couldn't understand why dogs like those treats. Zach got chosen to play on the 5th grade soccer team. He was very excited and a little competitive. He played a great couple of games against South Fork and Kernville 5th graders.
Jayda- I have come to the conclusion that Jayda is a very competitive person. We were playing Domino's and after she laid a piece down she would raise her hands and say loudly "Yea". It was very funny. She loves to ride on anyone's back especially her brothers. They love to take her for rides around the house. Zach is teaching her how to tackle and I am not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing yet.
Kenny- He came home and said the students have a new name for him "Man-brarian." He laughs and says "I love my job!"
Me- I am such a sap!! I cried while going over Zach's science homework with him. We were talking about cells and organs and I asked him if he knew about organ donors. So I explained organ donors and how wonderful it is because you can save a life. We talked about McKenzie and how she needed an organ and then I just lost it. Maybe because I only had 5 hours of sleep the night before or because Aunt Fanny came to visit but I had to really try and keep it together while explaining it. It is funny because it has been over 13 years and some days it seams like yesterday. Then while I was in Costco, I saw the most beautiful down Syndrome baby girl. I was talking to her mom and had a nice visit. I had to leave rather quickly because the emotions came flooding in. I sure miss my sweet baby girl. One day I will be able to hold her in my arms and love up on her.

And it is great to know you will see Mckenzie again. It's just the waiting for that day, and all the time in between that gets hard. We are coming up on 21 years since my brother died, I still have hard days.
