Tayah turned 9 today. It just seems like a short 9 years ago that she came into our lives. She was born on Mothers Day and it is the best present I have ever had. She has the thickest hair I have ever seen and it is beautiful. I love her hair but part of me wishes her curls were still there. Maybe they will come back in a few years (puberty). Some of her characteristics at 9 years old are: she is very independent, shy, loves to read, loves art, enjoys softball, dance and cheer. She is a good student and is always trying to please her teachers. Some of her dislikes are: being teased by her big brother, getting a bad grade in school, doing things her mothers way.
Every year since she was about 5 she has had a dance recital on or near her birthday. This year she had her dress rehearsal on her birthday. The pictures is her all dolled up ready to dance.
Grandma and Grandpa Bushling came over to celebrate her birthday. They gave her some money and a picture frame of her pitching in one of her softball games. She said she really loved that present. She also got money from the Cross', the Kuhars and Grandma and Grandpa Ellis.
She didn't have a big list this year which made it hard to shop for her. She wanted fluorescent green converse shoes which I couldn't find anywhere in Bakersfield. The only place on line was Journey kids and they were out. I told her she could get a different color but she loves green and her best friend Ali. We ended up getting her clothes and the promise to keep looking. On her list she said she wanted a new bike with a cup holder. Her bike was still in great shape so Trey got her a new cup holder for her old bike.
She wanted a poster of Hannah Montana and Camp Rock. She also said she wanted a new ^calm puppy. It was so funny because she first wrote she wanted a new puppy and then she added the ^ sign and put CALM above it. I think she was trying to convince Kenny that there was such thing as a calm puppy. She requested it on her list twice. Once in the middle and then again at the end. You know the more you read something the more you might believe. Good Luck with that one Tayah. Zach found her the Hannah Montana poster but saw this puppy poster and thought this will have to be her new calm puppy. At least this way she has more than one puppy.
She is all about getting fake nails. She begs me on a weekly basis for fake nails. I told her she can have them for her 8th grade graduation. So she setteled with getting the fake plastic don't stick very well cheep nails. She asked for some glue to put the nails on with. Jayda, being the sister, gave her the glue with extra nails, polish, polish remover, nail file, and clippers. I will apologize now to all the moms who have kids that are friends with Tayah because she might get some nail salon thing going on if they come over to play.
Since her birthday falls on our busiest week we are having her party in a couple of weeks. We will continue to celebrate then. We love you Tayah and hope you have a great year being 9 years old.
