Copy Cat!!

Jayda is in the copy cat stage. Do kids really every grow out of this stage? Jayda is following her brothers and sisters and doing (or trying to do) what they are. The other day Zach was hitting my head with a Barbie doll's blow up couch and it was making Jayda laugh. I told Zach she was going to follow but he just laughed. I wasn't laughing the next day because she took a toy and banged it across my head and laughed. It hurt so bad!! I took it away from her and told her NO Jayda that hurts mommy. She started to rub her head and walked to Tayah for some love. What about Mommy I said? She just snuggled closer to Tayah rubbing her head.It got really quiet one day and I was wonderin what everyone was up to. I went looking for my kids and this is what I found. She grabed Trey's DS and layed down on the floor just like her big brother and started to copy him. She is way to into the DS's and it really frightens me because she likes to carry them around and pretend to play them.

Tayah was playing We Sing on the WII and Jayda insisted that she have a turn with the microphone. She thought she was all that holding a nunchuck and singing into the mic. One time when Tayah was complaining about her brothers and had a sad/frustrated look and tone in her voice Jayda was right beside her coping her very sound and facial expressions. It was really funny and I started to laugh and so did Tayah which was a good thing because Tayah forgot all her woos and sorrows.

In order for us to get her to eat anything besides fruit we all have to eat it and show her how good it is. We all showed her our brocolli and ate a few bites to prove to her it is good. She bought it for a few minutes and copied us and took a bite. She liked it for a few seconds until she really started to taste it and then spit it out. She later tried it again and ate a few bites thanks to all of us only eating our brocolli every time she looked at one of us.
