Baseball

Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd. Buy me a Diet Pepsi and Hot Tamales, I don't care if I ever go back. I will root, root, root for Zach-y, if he gets out it's a shame. For it's one-two-three steals he gets, at the 'ole ball game!

I have many reasons why I love this game called Baseball.

-My kid, Zach is REALLY, REALLY good. He plays short stop and is very talented at that spot. He loves to get the runner out when they try to steal 2nd base. He had some great plays this time getting the runners out.
He got this guy out and the runner out with a little force. To me it looked like he knocked him out of the base line and off to the side of the base. The umpires called the runner out. Check out the next series of photo's and decided what happened before you read on.

This runner believe it or not was called safe. We argued his call but like most umps (as they should) stuck by his call. I looked down at my camera and noticed I had it all on film and we all laughed at the proof we needed to plead our case. Of course we didn't because it wouldn't change anything.

He had an awesome throw from the infield line behind the 3rd base to first base. It was so fast and accurate and he got the runner out.

He called a pop fly and ran half way to left field and caught the ball. I thought both the boys faces were funny in this picture.

He is the best player to be in a pickle. The coaches put Zach into a pickle on purpose because 9/10 times he gets out of it. This game he got into a pickle between 3rd and home and ran back and forth maybe twice. The next time he got into a pickle he did it all on his own. He was running to third base and was rounding to head home when at the same time the 3rd base man was a couple of feet in front of the base just caught the ball. I could see that Zach looked at him and just kept running for home base. The 3rd baseman through it home and Zach ran back to 3rd then the catcher threw it to the 3rd baseman just then Zach ran as fast as possible and ran home and slide and scored. It was so exciting, we were all jumping and screaming for a few reasons. Zach always makes running the bases exciting and he scored the winning run.

Reasons I don't care of baseball-

-It takes all day and sometimes you only play 1 game a day.

-You spend lots of money on the other kids getting them snacks from the snack bar to keep them happy and so they won't bug you so you can watch the game.

-Jayda, very hard to deal with at the games. But thankfully I have lots of help with her. Everyone loves her and tries to hold her. She is very picky and doesn't let very many hold her.

Baseball season is just starting and with Zach playing in Bakersfield, Tayah playing softball in Kernville and Trey playing T-ball in Mt. Mesa I will be very busy, more then now can that really happen?

I love that you caught that play on film! Too bad you couldn't use it to change the umpire's mind about the runner being safe! It sounds like your life is going to be crazy for the next couple of months!! Good luck!
