St. Kitts

Were here!! We didn't have to much trouble on the plane ride from the kids. Leaving at 11:30pm wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. All the kids slept on the plane but I had a hard time.Jayda fell asleep for a little while before we went on the plane which made me nervous but she slept fine on the plane. With Jayda in my arms and trying to keep Tayah from laying on the lady next to her I didn't get much sleep. It wasn't so bad but I think I was so tired I was getting sick. Friday is a blur to me and I am not sure what all happened besides getting into a room and letting the kids swim in the rain. Yes, it started to rain shortly after we got here. It was still warm just wet which didn't stop the kids from swimming. The most exciting thing of Friday was the Bidet in our bathroom. Here is the best definition we found for Bidets. Bidets are primarily used to wash and clean the genitalia, inner buttocks, and anus. They may also be used to clean any other part of the body; they are very convenient for cleaning the feet, for example. Despite appearing similar to a toilet, it would be more accurate to compare it to the washbasin or bathtub. In fact, the bidet is used by some for a baby bath. No, I didn't bath Jayda in it and yes the kids had a fun time turing it on and watching it squirt to the top of the ceiling. I think they tricked Howard Kent into the bathroom and had him look at it and they turned it on and he got all wet. Lets just say some people in our party might have tried it and some people might have liked it. But you know the saying "What happens in St. Kitts, STAYS in St. Kitts!"

Jayda made up for her good behavior on the plane by being a wake 4 hours in the middle of the night. Kenny and I took turns with her. Kenny took her for a walk down on the beach and I fed her and gave her a very warm bath. Thankfully none of the other kids woke up because of her. We were all so tired that we went to bed around 9pm and didn't wake up until 11:30am.

Saturday we went to the beach most of the day. Some of the locals walk up and down asking if you want your hair braided or a massage. Kenny said he would take a massage later in the week and the lady asked if we wanted a sample one. He said sure give a sample one to my wife. So I got an aloe vera foot and leg message. She was doing a good job and it was longer then a sample message I thought. So I asked her what I owed her and she said $35. I guess her definition of sample and our definition is different. It was good and I love a foot message so I was ok with it.
The people here talk so fast that it is hard to understand them. They talk broken English and they have to slow down when they talk to tourists. Their slowed speech is our normal speed. It is very interesting listening to them speak to each other. You feel like you are at the auction.

Jayda was in heaven being at the beach and playing in the sand. I like it because she can't just walk wherever she wants to go. She had a good nap there listening to the waves and having the cool breeze on her face.

Kenny did his famous hole at the beach for the kids. They love to have a hole and see if the water will get inside it. Tayah wasn't into the hole as much as the boys. She was more fascinated by the sea weed. It was different then back home. She wanted to bring some home but I talked her out of it thankfully.

I went to take the boys picture and they noticed that they didn't have much sand on them. They wanted me to wait to take the picture so they would look nice and dirty for the photo.

I just loved this picture. I didn't even have them pose for it. They were so funny because they would roll in the sand then run to the showers behind us and get all clean then go play in the sand again rolling to get as sandy as possible. We stayed inside for dinner just relaxing and enjoying our villas that is bigger then my house. I am not sure but I could live here for a long time. The space in the rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are so nice. My house in going to seem cramped to me. We are looking forward to more fun this next week.

First of all, don't get too comfortable in St. Kitts. You are not leaving me to go live half way around the world! And second of all, I am jealous! Of Jayda, that is. I want to take a nap on the beach without a care in the world! Oh, and that toilet/wash basin thing....yeah, I don't think so. The thing just looks.....what's the word...? Wrong! Well, we miss you and can't wait till you are back home. Keep having fun and posting lots of pics.
P.S. Glad your plane ride wasn't as nightmarish as you thought.
P.S.S Just saw the preview for Twilight tonight.....
can't wait!

Looks beautiful there! That is a great shot of the kids on the beach. The foot massage sounds heavenly! FYI, Tyler is home, as of yesterday, Saturday
WoW!! What a fabulous looking beach! You guys look awesome! I'm so glad you are having so much fun. That's so funny that you doubled the attendance at church! I hate it when I feel like my kids are the only ones moving or making any kind of noise! Have fun!!

It looks like everyone is having lots of fun. Jayda is going to think she lives at the beach and visits Lake Isabella! You will have to ask Danny sometime what he thinks of people driving on the "wrong" side.
I let my kids swim in the rain the other day too! Oh wait that was football game...nevermind! Keep posting amazing pictures.
