Mammoth Lakes

This past weekend we went to Mammoth Lakes because the kids had a football game and cheerleading. We were so glad that grandma and grandpa Bushling came with us. The kids just love spending time with them and I'm glad because 2 of them rode 1/2 way with them. We stopped right before at the fish hatchery. We were all wishing we brought our fishing poles. The fish were huge and the kids loved feeding them. We might have gotten in trouble for shaking the fish food dispenser to get free food for the fish. I think it was grandpas fault or at least that is what my boys said.
We then went to a natural hot creek. It was in a canyon and had hot blue pools across the creek that we couldn't get to touch (thank heavens). We hiked down to the water and bypassed the sign that said to stay out of the creek because it was unstable ground and people have died there. They had a fence across the walkway to the water. As you can tell we didn't follow directions. There was a little bubbling water on the side we touched it and man oh man it was hot. It didn't smell that pretty either. You don't think Trey is somewhat like his father in this picture do you?

We stayed at our friends house which is so awesome. We are very lucky to know someone in Mammoth. We went to eat and walked around town. That night our high school football team was playing Mammoth too. Thanks to Dani Hurley she captured my husband looking stylish at the game.

He likes to pack light and didn't pack any pants but thought it was cold enough to wear his caplene under his shorts. We sent him by himself because we didn't want to be seen with him-his dad went with him. The kids did great that day. Zach scored 3 touchdowns one was a 50 yard td, one he caught a pass, and the other he ran down the side lines breaking some tackles. He was having a wonderful time. Tayah did a great job cheering. She has the best kicks and even looked at us with a smile a few times.

Marcie, this is exactly how I remember Kenny dressing in High School. He was always sooo cool, way ahead of everyone else when it comes to fashion!!!
