Day 5 - Wednesday

Today was a better non-stressful day. Kenny and Zach went scuba diving and the kids and I went swimming again. We found out that the big iguanas had to be taken out because they became to aggressive towards the people and their food. There were still some pretty big ones but not as big as last time. When Kenny and Zach came back we went and took a tour of the north end of the Island. We saw the "California Light House". The kids got a kick out of the name. We then drove to the desert side of the Island and saw wild goats and cactus.

I had to post the picture with the three kids because of Tayah and how she loves to pose for pictures it was so cute and made me laugh. If you look close you can see the wild goats in the background.

You wouldn't think that at a tropical place like this there would be a desert area but one side of the island is like a desert area. This side is also the side with the big fun waves. You wouldn't want to go and swim or boogie board in them because there is a lot of rocks and undercut rocks there. Later we found out that on the south end of this side the locals do boogie board and surf in an area where there isn't much rocks.

The kids were so bummed that they couldn't go swimming here. There wasn't even much sand because of the volcanic rock all over the place.

On this side there was a mile long area full of rock piles. I guess people would make rock piles for wishes. We then sat for about an hour collecting small sea shells. We ended the day American way with Pizza Hut by the pool. The kids enjoyed swimming at night in the pool. Another great day!!
