The scariest thing EVER!!!

I agreed to be in this play at my church with the stipulations of not singing alone. They said that would be fine and had me sing a duet with my friend Karrie Bunting. I was so glad for that but I then found out I have to sing part of the song alone. I still, (don't ask me why) said ok and started to learn my song. My daughter Tayah was Karrie's understudy and she was singing with me. I even had Leslie help me with the song to make sure I didn't sound terribly awful. Today was my first practice singing in front of everyone in the play. I felt ok about it until we started to get close to my part. It wasn't until then that I could feel my heart beating so hard and fast I was sure Dani who was sitting behind me could hear it. When it was my turn to sing I stood up and my arms were shaking, my voice was shaking and my knees were knocking. I had to lock my knees to get them to stop somewhat from shaking. I swear I was making the whole stage shake. I thought I had done some h...

Special Day

Today is a very special day for us. It is McKenzie's birthday. She would have been 13 years old. I can't believe we would have a 13 year old. It only seems like yesterday I was in labor walking to the car in knee deep snow. It was the worst storm we had all winter and it was Super Bowl Sunday. We were a little surprised because she was 10 days early and I was suppose to get induced in Salt Lake that following Thursday. My OB was out of town and we didn't register at the local hospital so there was no records or direction at all. When we told the nurse all the problems McKenzie had she said ok and left the room headed to the nurses station and they all were panicking. We just laughed and thought it was funny because we were very calm and collected. Even with all the problems we knew we were going to have to face this was the most peaceful, spiritual experience I have had delivering a baby. Priesthood blessings are amazing and I am so thankful my husband has the priesthood an...

Gotta love her….

Kenny, Zach, and Tayah all went to St. Kitts for the weekend. The first night they were gone I was reading and singing to Jayda before she went to bed. I thought she was almost asleep when she asks me “Mom, why didn’t you go away and daddy stay home?” I told her daddy would be home soon. She started to cry and said she wanted me to go on a trip and daddy stay home with her. Feeling the love!!!!
